Our Story
Blue Bus Tours is a boutique, family-owned coach tour company based in Redland Bay. Founded by Geoff and Sandra Jacob, our journey began in 2002 with chartered tours and expanded in 2019 to offer fully inclusive luxury tours directly to the public. With Geoff’s decades of experience in the coach industry and Sandra’s background in teaching and business management, we set out to create something different: a way to explore Australia in comfort, safety, and style while still feeling like you’re travelling with friends.
The Blue Bus Difference

- Safety first – Our coach is equipped with advanced technology, including Guardian by Seeing Machines to monitor driver fatigue, Starlink connectivity, and even an onboard defibrillator.
- Accessible travel – We’re proud to operate what we believe is Australia’s only luxury tour coach with wheelchair access, ensuring everyone can enjoy the journey.
- Personal service – We don’t use online booking systems or travel agents. Every booking is handled personally, because to us, passengers are never just numbers.
- Affordable luxury – With bespoke seating, generous legroom, and all-inclusive itineraries, our tours combine comfort with value—without cutting corners.
- Sustainability – Our coach meets the Euro 6 emissions standard, the highest in Australia, reducing our impact while exploring this beautiful country.
Why We Love What We Do
For us, travel is about more than just the destination. It’s about the joy of discovering hidden parts of Australia, the laughter shared on long journeys, and the friendships that blossom along the way. Many of our passengers—particularly retirees and solo travellers—tell us they feel safe, cared for, and part of the “Blue Bus Family.” That sense of belonging is what keeps us going.
Our Team
At the heart of Blue Bus Tours is our family and dedicated crew. Geoff brings over 39 years of industry experience as driver and tour leader, while Sandra ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Our back office team plan and book the tours. Rebecca supports passengers in the office, helping with bookings, and our friendly drivers and tour managers work tirelessly to make each trip memorable.
Two of their children, Lara and Travis, have also joined tours, adding to the sense of family connection.
Giving Back
We’re committed to more than just travel. Blue Bus Tours proudly supports the Save the Bilby Fund, raising awareness and funds for endangered species, and sponsors Disability Entertainment Australia Inc (DEAI) to help create inclusive experiences for all.
Looking Ahead
As we plan future tours, from Queensland and northern NSW to the Red Centre, Victoria, South Australia, Lord Howe Island and beyond, our mission remains the same: to deliver safe, memorable, and joy-filled experiences where every passenger feels like part of the family.
Geoff Jacob
Owner and founder of Blue Bus, Geoff is passionate about coach travel in Australia. He is a fully qualified diesel and air conditioning mechanic. He has been operating in the charter and tour coach industry for most of his working life and has vast experience in planning and conducting coach tours all over Australia.
Sandra Jacob
Sandra worked as a high school teacher before taking over the bookkeeping and payroll side of the business. Sandra helps take care of the back office side of the business and helps plan the tours and take bookings. She is also the tour manager on most tours.
