Fraser Island Exploration
Tue 13 Sep 22
We discover Fraser Island’s ancient sand dunes, long stretches of white sandy beaches, freshwater lakes and lush rainforests on our 4WD tour. Feel the pure white silica sand between our toes and swim in the crystal-clear water as we discover Lake McKenzie. Next, we visit Maheno Shipwreck, the most famous wreck on the island that washed ashore on 75 Mile Beach during a cyclone. On our travels, look out for the island’s incredible dingo population, renowned as the purest breed in Australia. Having had a magnificent day seeing this stunning sand island, we return to our resort for dinner.

Fraser Island to Hervey Bay
Thu 15 Sep 22
After our ferry back to the mainland, we enjoy an early lunch at the Hervey Bay Boat Club. This afternoon will be a highlight as we head off in search of migrating humpback whales with a whale watching cruise. Seeing a whale in the wild is the experience of a lifetime and one of the safest places to do this is in the Hervey Bay National Marine Park. Witnessing the awesome humpback whale as it offers a spectacular display of pectoral slaps, body rolls and the breathtaking breach is a truly inspiring moment. Our farewell dinner is at our hotel where we can share stories with our fellow travellers about our incredible tour.
