Home to Warwick
Fri 22 Jul 22
Welcome to our tour to Warwick featuring the Jumpers and Jazz in July Festival. With our bags packed and fellow adventurers onboard, we express to Warwick, our home for the next three nights. Stopping at Glengallan Homestead and Heritage Centre, we are greeted by our guide who will lead us on an intriguing tour of the homestead. Uninhabited for more than half its lifetime, it remains frozen in time as one of the few remaining examples of a 19th century house in Queensland. Next, we visit the Australian Rodeo Heritage Centre, dedicated to the spirit of rodeo and the cowboy. It’s a place to follow the history and relive the glory of the rodeo’s greatest champions. A must-see attraction is the Abbey of the Roses, formally Our Lady Assumption Convert, built for the Sisters of Mercy. Here we enjoy an educational tour telling us about the beautiful old building which is steeped in local history before checking into our accommodation.
