Day 2

Mon 1 June 20 (BLD)

This morning we discover the region’s railway past at the Archer Park Rail Museum, which houses some interesting rolling stock. After spending time listening to our guide as they reveal the stories behind the displays, we step back in time as we experience the rich and colourful history of the district at the Heritage Village. There are unique original buildings, homesteads and businesses from the 100-year period between 1850 and 1950. We then head out of town for a geological treat. Feel the excitement of venturing into an ancient coral reef cave as we head into the Capricorn Caves. Be guided through the easily accessible Cathedral Cave, which will leave lasting memories of ancient geological past, early explorers, the wonders of wildlife and special cave acoustics. We head back to our hotel with time to freshen up before dinner (breakfast & dinner in hotel / lunch included at Capricorn Caves).

Our afternoon will be spent at the Texas Longhorn Wagon Tours complex where we take part in a magnificent Aussie ‘smoko’, catch a ride to the unique animals and have a lot of fun with the resident characters that call this place home (breakfast & dinner in hotel / packed lunch included).
