Brisbane to Geelong

We fly into Melbourne and travel to Geelong, Victoria’s largest provincial city. Nestled on Corio Bay, Geelong surprises with elegant architecture, floral gardens, and seaside charm—an inviting start to our coastal adventure.

Great Ocean Road - Geelong to Apollo Bay

We begin the iconic Great Ocean Road drive, stopping at the Chocolaterie before winding through Anglesea and Lorne. Forest meets ocean in this stunning stretch of coastline, with time to explore before arriving in Apollo Bay.

Otway Ranges & Twelve Apostles

We ascend into the Otway Ranges for a treetop walk at Otway Fly, then continue through Port Campbell National Park to view the Twelve Apostles, London Bridge, and Loch Ard Gorge. The day ends in the seaside town of Warrnambool.

Shipwreck Coast & Maritime History

A guided tour reveals Warrnambool’s shipwreck legacy. We visit Tower Hill’s ancient volcanic crater and wildlife reserve, then explore Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum. The evening’s “Shipwrecked” sound and light show brings the tragic story of the Loch Ard Shipwreck to life.

Port Fairy, Portland & Blue Lake

We visit charming Port Fairy and historic Portland, riding the scenic cable tram along Henty Beach. In Mount Gambier, we learn about the unique Blue Lake and its annual colour change.

Discovering Mount Gambier

We explore Umpherston Sinkhole’s terraced gardens, then visit the Mary MacKillop Centre at Penola. A lunch stop at Chardonnay Lodge in the Coonawarra Wine District adds flavour to a day rich in history and scenery.

Prehistoric Caves & Coastal Views

We journey to Naracoorte’s Wonambi Fossil Centre and Alexandra Cave, then continue to Victor Harbor. Known for its surf beaches and seasonal whale sightings, it’s a peaceful coastal town to unwind.

Kangaroo Island - Wine Tasting & Lighthouse Views

We cross to Kangaroo Island and enjoy lunch at Dudley Wines with sweeping views. A visit to Cape Willoughby Lighthouse offers panoramic coastal vistas before we settle into Kingscote for the next 3 nights.

Wildlife Wonders - Seal Bay & Flinders Chase

We walk among sea lions at Seal Bay, enjoy a Birds of Prey show at Raptor Domain, and explore Flinders Chase National Park’s dramatic coastline, including Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks.

We visit Clifford’s Honey Farm and Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery for tastings and products unique to the island. Kangaroo Island Brewery rounds out the day with a relaxed atmosphere and stories behind the brews.

McLaren Vale & Adelaide

We cross back to the mainland and visit Wirra Wirra Vineyard in McLaren Vale for lunch at Harry’s Deli. Surrounded by gum trees and vineyards, we savour the final tastes of the tour before arriving in Adelaide.

Adelaide to Brisbane

With bags packed and memories made, we transfer to the airport for our flight home. This scenic journey from Melbourne to Adelaide has been filled with regional flavours, history, and unforgettable coastal beauty.
