Day 1: (LD)
Brisbane to Yamba

We begin our journey with a scenic drive through the Scenic Rim via Beaudesert, Kyogle and Casino. Along the Summerland Way, we enjoy views of grazing lands and forested hills before arriving in Yamba, a coastal gem nestled at the mouth of the Clarence River.

Explore Yamba, Maclean & Iluka
Fri 6 Nov 26
A guided tour introduces us to Yamba’s rich heritage, followed by a visit to the award-winning Yamba Museum. In Maclean, we browse artisan works and Scottish heritage before crossing to Iluka, where rainforest remnants and local creativity shine. A relaxing ferry ride returns us to Yamba.

Jacaranda Festival

We travel to Grafton for the iconic Jacaranda Festival. A guided town tour sets the scene before time at leisure to enjoy market stalls, live entertainment, and gardens awash in purple blooms. It’s a joyful celebration of spring and community spirit.

Grafton Heritage

We visit Schaeffer House and Alumny Creek School Museum for a glimpse into early education and architecture. At Lanbruk’s Gunyah, we enjoy homemade lunch and explore a barn filled with vintage farm machinery. A stop in Ulmarra offers time to browse the shops and marvel at the beautiful old buildings.

Yamba to Brisbane

After breakfast, we visit Tweed Valley Farmhouse Cheeses for a tasting and insight into local production. A leisurely coastal drive brings us home, concluding a memorable tour filled with colour, culture and countryside charm.
