Our Young Cherry Festival Tour begins with a warm welcome aboard the Blue Bus. We travel to Moree, renowned for its artesian bore baths, stopping for comfort breaks and lunch along the way. It’s a relaxing start to a journey filled with colour, culture, and country hospitality.

Moree to Dubbo – Fossils, Crystals & Country Charm

We journey through Narrabri and the Pilliga Nature Reserve to Coonabarabran, where we explore the Megafauna Museum and Crystal Kingdom. Rare fossils and vibrant minerals offer a glimpse into ancient Australia before we continue to Dubbo for a restful overnight stay.

Dubbo to Cowra – Castles, Crops & Country Gardens

Today we visit Iandra Castle, a grand reminder of rural prosperity, and Glencara Homestead, a sixth-generation farm with a rustic maze and country garden. After lunch at the Old Shearers Quarters Café, we arrive in Cowra, steeped in WWII history and local legend.

Cherry Festival in Young – Orchards, Fudge & Festive Fun

Young bursts into life with its annual Cherry Festival. We visit Allambie Orchard for morning tea and optional cherry picking, then indulge at Poppa’s Fudge & Jam Factory. The afternoon is yours to enjoy the festival’s vibrant stalls, music, and sweet seasonal delights.

Temora & Cootamundra - Aviation, Chocolate & Cricket Legends

We explore the Temora Aviation Museum’s historic aircraft collection, then savour lunch at the Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory. In Cootamundra, we stroll the Captains’ Walk, honouring Australia’s cricket greats—including Sir Donald Bradman, born here in 1908.

Cowra to Lithgow – Gardens, War History & Grand Estates

Cowra’s rich history unfolds at the POW Theatre and Japanese Gardens, a tranquil masterpiece of Edo-style design. In Bathurst, we tour Abercrombie House, a Gothic-Baronial mansion, and drive the iconic Mount Panorama Circuit before arriving in Lithgow.

Lithgow to Port Macquarie – Scenic Drive Through National Parks

We leave the Blue Mountains behind, travelling past Wollemi and Yengo National Parks. The afternoon takes us through Nabiac to Port Macquarie, where we settle in for our final night together, surrounded by coastal beauty and relaxed camaraderie.
